Where are your servers
located?
Our Network Data Center is located in
Colorado, USA. in a building having multiple redundant OC-48 connections
to the Internet. Our connectivity comes from four of the largest tier-1
backbones in existence (including GTE, Sprint, and Cable &
Wireless).
The facility itself is a secure,
air-conditioned, static electricity controlled environment. All servers
are housed in secure racks behind 2 locked doors and full security
system. They are protected by surge suppression and power management
systems to ensure uninterrupted server operations.
A professional team monitors the network
24/7/365 to guarantee smooth and uninterrupted operation of your site.

What ad formats can I choose?
ForwardingWeb’s
free URL Forwarding service covers its costs by displaying one NavBar or
banner on its members' pages. Advertising revenue covers the substantial
financial costs of providing this free
service. If you don't want any banners, you can upgrade to Ad-free
Forwarding by selecting this option below.
There are 10 different Formats, so you're
sure to find one that suits your site:
- NavBar
Footer puts a
navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.
- NavBar Header puts a
navigation bar at the top of your screen.
- Ad Frame Footer puts an ad in
a frame at the bottom of your screen.
- Ad Frame Header puts an ad in a
frame at the top of your screen.
- Delay Page puts an ad on a page
of its own which forwards to your site after a few seconds.
- Inline is the least intrusive ad
format. This option allows you to add our banner code to your Home
Page directly. This way there are no frames, popups or delay pages.
You can build the ad banner into your page so that it looks like your
own ad. Here is the HTML code:
If you choose this option, please make sure you add the code
promptly, because our robot checks Member Accounts every 7 days and will
suspend accounts where the code is not found.
- Popup puts an ad in a small
popup window.
- Whois Right adds a domain search
box to the right of your screen.
- Whois Left adds a domain search
box to the right of your screen.
- Ad-Free is an
optional upgrade which removes all ads from your account. Click

Can I buy extra features?
Yes, you can purchase the
following upgrades at any time:
- Ad-Free Forwarding is
an optional upgrade which removes all ads from your account.
- Unlimited Email Forwarding
redirects all mail sent to your domain (anything@yourdomain.com) to any other email box you choose,
such as your ISP mailbox.
- POP Mailbox gives you one catch
all email POP mailbox for your domain. All mail sent to your domain
(anything@yourdomain.com) will be sent to this Mailbox.

If I order Unlimited Email
Forwarding, what are my email settings?
Our Email Forwarding upgrade
redirects all mail sent to your domain (anything@yourdomain.com) to any
other email box you choose, such as your ISP mailbox.
If you have ordered this upgrade,
there's nothing more you need to do - this will have been set up for you
automatically and all email to your domain will be forwarded to the Destination Email
Address you have chosen.
You can change the Destination Email
Address at any time by sending a request, including your Domain Name and
Invoice Number or Password for security verification, to
network@specialistweb.com.

If I order a POP Mailbox, what
are my email settings?
Our POP Mailbox upgrade gives you one
catch all email POP mailbox for your domain. All mail sent to your domain
(anything@yourdomain.com) will be sent to this Mailbox.
If you have ordered this upgrade, your
SMTP/POP3 mail server is mail.yourdomain.com. Use your username and
password to send or receive mail from this Mailbox.

Can I order more than one POP
Mailbox?
We don’t support multiple mailboxes
because we are a low-cost service.
If you need more than one
mailbox, and you have
more money to spend, you should probably consider commercial web hosting. We recommend that you

Do you accept payment by any means other than credit card?
Yes, we also accept payment by bank transfer,
bank check or cashier's check. Please contact our
Customer Service Team for instructions if you want to pay by any of these
methods.

Why have I been charged in
Australian dollars when you advertise in US dollars?
We're based in Australia so all of our
services are priced in Australian
dollars.
We also list approximate prices in US dollars for the convenience of our international
customers. If
you place an order, your credit card company will convert the fee
into your currency automatically.

How do I renew my account?
Free Accounts
There is no need to renew. Provided you
continue to use one of our Ad Formats, you can continue to use your
account indefinitely.
Paid
Accounts
Our Automatic Renewal Service
automatically renews your ForwardingWeb account (including any upgrades) and
charges the credit card on file for one additional year of service from
the current expiry date. Auto-Renewal
ensures that your web site enjoys continued uninterrupted
operation without risk of cancellation. We will continue to bill your
account on a yearly basis unless you cancel it beforehand.
One month prior to the Account Expiry Date,
ForwardingWeb will charge the credit card we hold on file for your
account. If the credit card is charged successfully,
you will receive an
email Invoice confirming payment. If the credit card is declined, you will
receive an email Renewal Notice requesting payment. We will try to process your card
3 times before your account is cancelled. If your account expires and payment
is not received during our "grace" period, it will be deleted.
You should click

Please note that we can't renew your domain
name. You will need to contact your Domain Registry to renew your domain. If your
domain was registered through our sister site RegistryWeb, you can find their
Renewal Form here.

How do I change my credit
card?
If your account is nearing its expiry date
and you want our Automatic Renewal System to use a different credit card, you
can click
here to update the card we hold on file for your account.

How do I cancel my account?
Free Accounts
Moving your domain away from our service will automatically cancel your
Forwarding account.
Paid
Accounts
If you no longer need your paid forwarding account you should cancel it immediately.
You can cancel it at any time by submitting the form at http://www.forwardingweb.com/forwarding/cancel.shtml
Cancellation of Service requires 1 month prior
written notice under the terms of our Service
Agreement.
Please note that your cancellation request
must be received at least 1 month prior to your Account Expiry Date if
you don't want to renew your account for another year. Once our Automatic Renewal Service
renews your account, renewal fees are NOT REFUNDABLE because we will have
already paid our upstream provider for your next year's service.

I can't connect to your secure
server.
If you are using a Version 3 or earlier browser, your security certificate
has probably expired. This problem is very easy to fix. Click
here to go through a 2 minute update process. You will only need to update your
certificate once to access most secure servers on the internet.

My forwarding isn't working.
There can be many reasons why forwarding isn't
working, however some of the most common include:
- Your forwarding was only set up recently. It can take up to 72 hours for the
Internet to recognize these types of domain changes.
- If your domain was registered at
RegistryWeb,
you need to set it up for forwarding. Click here
if you haven't done this yet.
- If your domain was registered somewhere else,
you will need to contact your Domain Registry and change the Address Record
(they may call it the A-record or DNS-A) to our IP address (207.189.213.227).
- If you have ordered Ad-Free Forwarding,
you need to set up your domain on our nameservers,
which are:
- PRIMARY HOSTNAME:
ns.forwardingweb.com
- PRIMARY IP ADDRESS:
207.189.213.241
- SECONDARY HOSTNAME:
ns2.forwardingweb.com
- SECONDARY IP ADDRESS:
207.189.213.242
- Your Destination URL (where you want your
domain redirected to) is not correct. This URL must be entered as a full browser
path. Eg: http://www.destination.com/site/page.html. Some of our members
also have problems because they enter their domain name as their Destination
URL, which sends the system into a "loop".
- Your Destination URL isn't working. Often,
problems with URL Forwarding are caused by problems at the Destination URL,
not by the Forwarding itself.
- If you selected Inline Banners for your
site,
but haven't added the banner code to your home page, your account may have
been suspended. You will need to
contact us for instructions to fix this.
